🎣 Bethel is making national headlines!

The New York Times recently featured Bethel University Head Bass Fishing Coach Garry Mason and the Wildcat bass-fishing program in a story exploring the growth of competitive fishing and the college opportunities it creates for young anglers.

As the first college to offer bass-fishing scholarships, Bethel has helped lead the way in collegiate fishing since 2009. Today, the program boasts 13 national titles and 15 graduates who have gone on to compete professionally.

We’re proud to see Coach Mason and our Wildcat anglers recognized on a national stage—and even prouder of the opportunities Bethel continues to create for students through the sport.

Bethel University is proud to announce Dr. Jody Hill, as our new Vice President of Advancement! 💜🐾

With more than 25 years of experience leading mission-driven organizations, Hill brings extensive experience in advancement, fundraising, strategic leadership, and institutional transition to his new role. Most recently, he served as President of Memphis Theological Seminary.

We look forward to the leadership and experience Jody will bring to Bethel as he works alongside our alumni, friends, supporters, and University leadership.

Bethel University is excited to announce the full schedule for Homecoming 2026, taking place October 15-17! 🐾💜

This year's celebration will bring together current students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community members for a weekend full of connection, tradition, and Wildcat spirit.

Highlights include the second annual Day of Fun, the Jerry Wilcoxson Memorial Golf Tournament, the Hall of Fame & Alumni Banquet, the Wildcat Bonfire, the Homecoming Parade, Wildcat Alley, and football against the Cumberland Patriots.

🔥 Last night was EPIC as seven teams went head-to-head in Chopped: Bethel Edition!

The mystery ingredients were revealed, the kitchens heated up, and our teams got to work creating dishes worthy of the competition, including one faculty team ready to show the students they could hold their own!

From mole to shrimp and rice, the creativity coming out of the kitchen was seriously impressive. And one team really slam dunked with their culinary dessert made from candy corn! 🍬

👏 A huge thank-you to all seven teams for stepping into the kitchen, bringing the heat, and giving us a competition worth watching. And to everyone who came out to cheer them on. You all helped make Chopped: Bethel Edition one for the books!

🎺 The Renaissance Marching Invitational is coming to Bethel this Saturday! 💜🐾

We’re excited to welcome bands from across the region for a day full of music, energy, and competition.

Come out and enjoy the excitement! 🎶

🥁🎺 The Renaissance Marching Invitational Returns to Bethel University this Saturday, September 26!

19 bands. More than 1,000 student musicians. One unforgettable day of competition.

High school marching bands from across the region will take the field at Walter Butler Stadium beginning at 10:00 a.m., with performances continuing throughout the day.

Bands will compete for class, division, and overall honors, with awards recognizing musical and visual performance, general effect, color guard, percussion, and drum major.

Following the final competing band at 3:30 p.m., our own Bethel University Renaissance Regiment will take the field in exhibition before the day concludes with an exciting awards ceremony.

More than 3,000 students, directors, staff members, families, and friends are expected throughout the day. Come experience the music, energy, pageantry, and excitement of marching band competition at Bethel University!
