Blueroof STEM Blueroof STEM is a Science, Technology, Enginnering and Math program to encourage junior high and high school students to enter STEM fields.

Blueroof Technologies, McKeesport Area School District and Penn State University Greater Allegheny have developed a n

ew STEM Program which includes the construction of a new accessible house built by the Building Construction students from McKeesport Area High School. This single level three bedroom home (called the TIGER-VET House) will be moved to a lot in White Oak about a mile from the high school and will be modified-upgraded to be used by a disabled Veteran. In addition, the Blueroof Spring 2014 STEM program will be centered around this VET house and include a three credit course from Penn State: IST110. Students in this program will design and develop the TIGER-VET smart technology and use social media to publicize this program. Congressman Mike Doyle is the honorary chairman of this program. Ground breaking is scheduled for next March.
