It was great seeing so many students and families at the Sto-Rox Primary Center last night for Open House! Thank you for stopping by to meet our staff, check out classrooms, and learn about expectations for the year ahead.

Thank you to all the community partners who also came out to share some of the awesome resources available in the community for our families.

Join us tonight from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for Sto-Rox Upper Elementary’s Open House! Enjoy a free dinner for the whole family, take home free school supplies, and get there using the free transportation provided by SRUE!

Join us tonight at the Primary Center from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. as we kick off the first of our three Open House events taking place this week!

Today we welcomed students back to school for the first day of the 2026-2027 school year!

All three of our district schools participated in the 3rd Annual PRIDE (Positively Raising It In Determined Effort) Community Pep Rally. Community members, leaders, parents, grandparents, and others stood outside the doors of each building, cheering on students as the buses unloaded and students made their way into school.

We enjoyed seeing the smiles on students’ and community members’ faces. This morning’s pep rally was proof that we started the new school year off right. 2026-2027 will be our best year yet!

Are you ready to show your P.R.I.D.E.? The district and Steel City Impact are throwing a third-annual back to school pep rally at 8 a.m. on Monday, August 24 at the Jr./Sr. High School. And over at the Upper Elementary and Primary Center, the district and Pittsburgh Area Community Schools are holding a back to school pep rally starting at 7:50 a.m.!

What a wonderful time at the Kick It Back to School event on Friday night! It was a pleasure to welcome back our students and families as we get ready for the new school year. We also want to thank all of the community partners who showed up and showed out - there was plenty of food, fun, and back to school information.
