Let’s meet our 8th Grade Team! 🎉📚

Our 8th grade team is made up of an incredible group of educators, bringing years of experience, dedication, and a passion for helping our students succeed!

❤️ Ms. Rader has been part of the JCMS family for 9 years and teaches ELA.
📖 Ms. McQueen has been with us for 5 years and is our 8th grade math teacher.
🔬 Mr. Thomas brings 27 years of experience at JCMS to our science classroom.
🏛️ Mr. Gray is the newest member of our 8th grade team and teaches social studies.
✏️ Mr. Ward also teaches 8th grade ELA.
➗ Mr. McCowan rounds out our team as an 8th grade math teacher.

We are so fortunate to have such a talented and experienced group of teachers preparing our 8th graders for their final year of middle school and the exciting transition to high school! We can’t wait to see what this team accomplishes together! 💙❤️

We are so excited to introduce the amazing educators who will be leading our 6th graders this year! ❤️💙

📚 Mrs. Lakes – ELA
Mrs. Lakes is beginning her 5th year with us and is ready to inspire our students through reading, writing, and learning!

➗ Mr. Jackson – Math
We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Jackson to our school! After retiring from Laurel County following 27 years of teaching, he is joining our team and bringing a wealth of experience to our 6th grade math classrooms.

📖 Mr. Bowling – Social Studies
We are excited to welcome Mr. Bowling as he begins his teaching career with us! We can’t wait to see the impact he will make on our students.

🔬 Mrs. Hollin – Science
Another new face to our team, Mrs. Hollin is beginning her teaching career with us as our 6th grade science teacher. We are excited to have her on board!

➕ Mrs. Harrison – Math
We are happy to welcome Mrs. Harrison back to 6th grade math! Her experience and dedication will be a wonderful asset to our students.

📚 Mrs. Huff – ELA
Mrs. Huff is joining us after teaching at one of our district elementary schools. We are excited to have her bring her experience and love of literacy to our 6th grade ELA team!
