🎀 McGregor Homecoming Mums & Garters are here! 🎀

Homecoming is just around the corner, and we are excited to start taking orders for custom mums and garters! 🖤💛 Primary & Elementary students should have an order form sent home with them today, while Junior High & High School students will have order forms available for pick-up.

Orders are due September 1st, and NO LATE ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED!

As we prepare for another exciting year, we need to know who is interested in exhibiting livestock through McGregor FFA during the 2026-2027 school year.

Please complete the Google Form below (one time per family if at all possible) to let us know what species you are interested in showing. This form is for gathering interest only and will help us begin planning for the upcoming show season.

Students may exhibit:
Heifers
Steers
Swine
Sheep
Goats
Rabbits
Broilers (Chickens)
Turkeys

Students may choose to show one species or multiple species. For swine, sheep, and goats, students may exhibit up to two animals per species. Rabbit exhibitors will show a pen of five rabbits.

A note about cattle: Showing a steer or heifer is typically a year-long commitment. If you are not already set up with a cattle project or have not been preparing for one, it will likely be difficult to exhibit cattle during this show season. However, we still encourage you to get involved by raising another livestock species this year. It is a great way to gain experience with livestock projects, learn the responsibilities of showing, and prepare yourself to successfully exhibit cattle in the future.

Broilers and turkeys are ordered through Texas A&M, making them one of the fairest livestock projects available since every exhibitor receives birds from the same source.

Please note:
Rabbits, broilers, and turkeys must be housed at the student's home, as we do not have facilities for these projects at the McGregor FFA Barn.

If you are interested in showing livestock this year, please complete the form as soon as possible. We need this information quickly because the school year is approaching fast. We will soon be ordering tags, locating project animals, ordering poultry, and entering livestock shows. Receiving everyone's interest early allows us to make sure no deadlines are missed and that we can help each exhibitor have the best opportunity for a successful project.

Whether you're a returning exhibitor or have never shown before, we encourage you to get involved! Showing livestock is an incredible opportunity to develop responsibility, work ethic, and leadership while representing McGregor FFA.

We are incredibly proud to announce that one of our students, Gracelynn Singer earned 2nd Place in the State of Texas in the Ag Science Fair – Animal Systems Division V category!

This accomplishment is a true reflection of the hard work, dedication, and passion she poured into her research project. Competing at the state level against talented students from across Texas is no small achievement, and we are beyond proud of the knowledge, effort, and perseverance she demonstrated throughout this process.

Congratulations on this outstanding accomplishment! We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see what you continue to achieve. You have represented yourself, your family, and McGregor FFA with excellence!

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to recognize our students as they received their well-deserved Lone Star Degrees for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence. This degree is not something we take lightly, as it represents the highest honor a Texas FFA member can earn and is a true testament to the effort, leadership, and dedication these students have shown throughout their FFA journey.

This year, six of our students earned this incredible honor. While not all of our recipients were able to be present for the recognition, we want each of them to know how proud we are of their accomplishments.

These students have represented themselves, their families, McGregor FFA, and our community with pride. Their success is a reflection of the countless hours they have put in, the challenges they have overcome, and the passion they bring to everything they do.
