This week, we are starting a fundraiser to benefit the UGMS band! Over 60% of our school-owned instruments are currently in disrepair, from normal wear and tear over the years. Many students rely on these instruments, as larger instruments can be too expensive for families to rent or purchase.

Our 8th Grade Fine Arts students are having a great time at Disney this week!

A few of our students were selected to be a part of the GMEA District 6 Honor Band this weekend! They worked very hard the past 2 days and performed a fantastic concert this afternoon!

Shoutout to our group of students who had the chance to participate at UGA’s MidFest this weekend! 8+ hours of rehearsal, 1000 middle school band students, and 11 concerts throughout the weekend.

Shoutout to our 75 members of the PEP BAND for a great season! These kids have committed to showing up and bringing the ENERGY for our UGMS football team.

Tonight, we had the opportunity to travel away to support our Wolverines in their win against Ola. LET’S GO GROVE!

Jump Start Camp for 6th Grade! Today, students learned how to assemble their instruments and make their very first sounds! These kids are going to be incredible, GO WOLVERINES!

We are excited to welcome Mr. Dylan Chastain as our new director of bands! Mr. Chastain is a talented young band director and we are very fortunate to have him at UGMS to take things to the next level

Thankful for a great 7th and 8th grade spring concert to end the year!

A long day for our 6th Grade Band, but a good one! This morning we had the opportunity to perform with the 6th Grade Chorus and Orchestra for our fifth grade future wolverines. This evening, we had two performances for our current Fine Arts Family and future wolverine parents. Thankful for the great, supportive community we have at Union Grove Middle School!
