This week on “Catch the Pace,” Dr. Pace highlights the importance of community involvement and invites Henry County residents to apply for the fourth annual HCS Community Leadership Academy. This seven-session program offers participants an inside look at district operations, including governance, teaching and learning, student supports, policy, and finance.
Dr. Pace is joined by Dr. Shatequa Hamilton, a 2024–2025 Community Leadership Academy graduate, who shares how the experience provided valuable insight into the work happening behind the scenes to support HCS students and schools. She also introduces the inaugural Principal for a Day program, giving local business, government, and civic leaders the opportunity to experience a school day from a principal’s perspective. With Community Conversations coming this fall across all 10 HCS clusters, there are plenty of ways for our community to stay informed, involved, and connected to our schools.
