🎒Great energy in our hallways today! Loved popping into classrooms, and learning is fully up and running across the board:

Geometry w/ Mrs. Robey & Mr. Ifft: Students are solving for unknown segment lengths and working as a team.
Math 7 w/ Mrs. Ronghi: Digging into rational numbers and building a strong foundation.
Government w/ Miss Rozzo & Mr. N: Engaging in group discussions about rules and procedures on a deserted island.

Our students are focused, energized, and working hard! A big thank you to our amazing teachers for creating such active, welcoming classrooms. 📚✨

🎉 What a great week at MHS! 🎉

We had a fantastic turnout for our Freshman Institute and our 7th Grade & New Student Orientation! 🎒✨

Here is a quick recap of this week's fun:

🎓 Freshman Institute: Our 9th graders got a jump start with Mrs. Bosheff on high school success and learned about big opportunities ahead, like College Credit Plus!

🧭 7th Grade & New Student Orientation: Our newest students toured the halls, walked their class schedules, and got ready for day one.

💀 Dress Code Review: Even our school skeleton, Mickey, helped demonstrate school rules...though Mickey definitely got caught with a few dress code violations!

A huge thank you to our staff, student mentors, and families who helped make today run so smoothly. We are going to have an incredible year together! 💙

Who: Incoming 7th graders, new MHS students, and families
Details: Key presentation from Ms. Watson & Mrs. Bosheff, schedule walkthroughs, and guided high school tours led by upperclassmen.

Who: Invited 8th graders in accelerated content areas & families

🌡️ **Extreme heat is expected across Trumbull County this week.** High temperatures can quickly become life-threatening for pets, especially dogs that are housed outdoors.

🐾 AWL Humane Officers will be out patrolling throughout the week, checking on dogs being kept outside to ensure they have what they need to stay safe during this dangerous heat.

During extreme temperatures, dogs need:
🏠 To be brought indoors whenever possible where air conditioning is available.
💧 Constant access to plenty of fresh, cool water.
🌳 Ample shade that protects them from the sun throughout the entire day.
🧊 Cooling options such as cooling mats, fans, kiddie pools (if the dog enjoys water), or frozen treats.
🚫 Exercise should be limited during the hottest parts of the day, and hot pavement should always be avoided.

If you see a dog being housed outside and are concerned for its welfare, please report it by emailing the address and any additional information to [email protected]
or by calling **330-539-5300 ext. 105, 106, or 145**.

Together, we can help keep Trumbull County's animals safe during this dangerous heat. Thank you for looking out for those who can't speak for themselves. ❤️🐶
