We’re excited to highlight Mrs. Deanna Crabtree as she takes on a new role at Northwest Elementary School this year! ❤️💙 Deanna has previously served our students in 3rd grade, and we’re excited to see her bring that same care and enthusiasm to preschool!

Deanna shared:

“Hi! I’m so excited to be teaching preschool this year! I’m really looking forward to working with our youngest learners and helping them grow, explore, and love school from the very beginning.

Outside of the classroom, I’m a big animal lover—especially my cats, who definitely run the house! I enjoy spending time with family, being outdoors, and staying active when I can. I also love relaxing at home with my pets after a busy day.

I’m excited for a fun and meaningful year getting to know my students and their families!”

We’re thankful to have Deanna continuing to serve our Northwest students and families. Her experience and heart for students will be a great addition to our preschool team!

We’re excited to have Ms. Callie Angel taking on a new role at Northwest Elementary School this year! ❤️💙 After previously teaching kindergarten, Callie will now be joining our 3rd grade team!

Callie shared:

“I’m excited to begin a new chapter this year as a third-grade teacher after previously teaching kindergarten! I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education and recently earned my Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction. I have a passion for creating a welcoming classroom where students feel supported, challenged, and excited to learn. I’m looking forward to growing alongside my students and making this a wonderful year in third grade!”

We’re thankful to have Callie continuing to serve our Northwest students and are excited to see her bring her experience, passion, and love for students to 3rd grade. We know it’s going to be a great year!

“Hello! My name is Morgan Stiles, and I’m so excited to be student teaching in first grade with Mrs. Amburgey this year! I’m currently studying Primary Education at Shawnee State University, and I’m passionate about helping young students learn, grow, and feel confident in the classroom. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to learn alongside wonderful teachers and students, and I can’t wait to become part of the school community. ❤️💙”

First grade is such an important year of learning and growth, and we’re excited to have Morgan working alongside Mrs. Amburgey and our students. We’re happy to have her joining our Northwest family and look forward to a great year together!

We’re excited to welcome Miss Abby Johnson to Northwest Elementary School! ❤️💙 Abby will be joining us this year as a student teacher in 2nd grade with Mrs. Bailey!

Abby shared:

“Hello! My name is Abby Johnson, and I am so excited to be student teaching in 2nd grade with Mrs. Bailey this year! I am currently a senior at Shawnee State University studying Primary Education. I am passionate about working with children and creating a positive, welcoming classroom where every student feels supported. I am looking forward to working alongside amazing teachers and students and making this a fun and memorable year! Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my three dogs. I am so excited for this opportunity and can’t wait to see what this year brings!”

We’re excited to welcome Mrs. Kendra Groves to the Northwest Elementary School team as one of our new Aides! ❤️💙

Kendra shared:

"Hi everyone! I’m Kendra Groves, and I am so excited to officially be a part of the Northwest family! I have worked in the district for multiple years, I have two boys who have attended Northwest their whole lives, and I’m also a Northwest graduate, so you may have seen me around over the years!

Northwest has always been such a special place to me, and this is where my heart is. I am so excited to meet all of our new students, get to know everyone, and get this school year started! I’m looking forward to a great year and can’t wait to see what it brings!"

Kendra is certainly no stranger to Northwest! From being a Northwest student herself, to a Northwest parent, to working within our district, she has been part of our Mohawk community in many ways. We’re excited to continue having her serving our students at Northwest Elementary!

"Hello! My name is Mrs. Brianna Knittel and I am a new ESC preschool teacher at Northwest Elementary School! I can’t wait to get the school year started. I’m looking forward to a year full of learning and fun! So excited to become a Mohawk!"

Preschool is where some of our littlest learners begin their school journey, and we’re excited to have Brianna helping make those first experiences positive, fun, and full of learning. We’re so happy to have her joining our Northwest family!
