McCormick County Council Meeting Cancelled

Please be advised that the McCormick County Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. has been CANCELLED due to the need for a larger venue.

Once a new meeting date and appropriate venue have been determined, a public notice will be issued with the rescheduled date, time, and location.

We apologize for any inconvenience this cancellation may cause our citizens and appreciate your patience and understanding.

Just a reminder that kids can keep counting their reading time and earning prizes through August 31st.

We have lots of great prizes left, including the special Adopt-A- Dino prize... read 6 books about dinosaurs and take home a special friend. Pictured here are Ryland and Kennedy who have both completed this fun challenge.

Don't forget that, in addition to independent reading, reading aloud to a child counts as their reading time too !
