Something Enrique said to me yesterday has stayed with me: “It is dangerous to sit in uncertainty and fear instead of focusing on a God who is sure, certain, and faithful.”

Enrique has been talking to us about the story of the 12 spies that the Lord told Moses to send out to explore Canaan, the Promised Land. This story has encouraged Enrique's heart.

It is interesting to note that God had already promised to give them the land. Yet when the 12 spies returned, 10 of them focused on the giants and the challenges they saw and forgot about the promise.

It’s not that Caleb and Joshua didn’t see the giants or the challenges. They saw the same things, but their focus was on the greatness of God. Their focus was different.

It is so easy to see only what is right in front of us—the problem, the struggle. I believe the Lord is teaching us to look at Him and His greatness.

What a privilege it is to be in a place where He is our only hope, where He is the only answer. And what an honor to be able to go to Him.

May the Lord help us keep our eyes on Him and remember that He is bigger than any giant we may be facing!❤️🙏🏼

We finally got power back late last night at our home. There was damage to power lines in our area after the earthquake. We are very grateful!

We were also able to get a new battery for our car, which is such a blessing!! We cannot do our work without transportation. We still need several things fixed, but we are so grateful to have it running today! 🙌

Things have been very tight financially, and every donation and gift helps tremendously!

I got a message from a dear loved one asking for bus money to be able to go to church this weekend. It was just two dollars that she needed to be able to go to church with her children. 🥹 What a difference a few dollars can make for someone!

Please continue to pray for the young girls who live in the children’s home that is closing. They need a good home and a family who will love and care for them. This is a big task! But we know the Lord is able.

There are many situations where we need a breakthrough and for the Lord to move. We sure do appreciate your prayers!! I can’t tell you how much it means.

We would appreciate your prayers that the Lord would provide a way to get a new battery for our car. We found one that cost around $100. The battery died a few days ago.
We have a man that maybe interested in buying the car. This would be a tremendous blessing to be able to sell it.

Last week I put up a post saying we needed medicine for a young man who has been in our care. He is autistic and has been on a medicine that has helped him tremendously. We didn’t have the money to get his medicine, and missing even one day can affect him terribly.

He was feeling a little panicky, and honestly, we were too, knowing we didn’t have the money. He got up early to pray—a habit he is learning, and one we are so proud of him for. Anxiety can be especially difficult for people with autism, and we brought it all before the Lord.

Even in spite of our fear, I said, “Let’s see what the Lord will do.”

I wanted this young man to see that God loves him and that He will take care of him.

After I posted, we received several donations through PayPal, and we all rejoiced! 🙌😭

That evening, we had to take one of our girls to the emergency room because she had a terrible virus. We had enough money to cover her visit and several tests the doctor needed to run.

I want to give God all the glory for sustaining us. It is so easy to doubt and fear, but He never fails!

We are trusting Him to provide each day. There are still uncertainties about how we will make it through, and we would ask for your prayers. But we continue to put all our hope and trust in Him, and we give Him the glory! 🙌❤️

I got to go to my very first Grandparents’ Day at our grandson’s school last week. He is six years old, and we are so proud of him! He was sitting behind me shouting out.."Tita Tita" ❤️🥹

Years ago, when we began receiving children into our home, I felt the Lord saying it was not only for this generation. And now, watching our sweet grandson grow, I’m reminded of the Lord’s faithfulness.

Helping children changes the next generation. It is hard to express all that I feel when I look at our four little grandbabies. They are here because of the Lord’s mercy and grace. They remind me of all the Lord has brought us through—and that He is faithful!!!

God's plans are much bigger and much greater than we could ever hope or imagine!❤️❤️❤️

We have a little girl, under our care, that is very sick with a terrible cough and cold. Could you please pray for her and pray for rest for us tonight?
