Human blood appears in two different shades depending on its oxygen content.

Arterial blood, the blood that has just passed through the lungs, carries a high amount of oxygen bound to hemoglobin. When oxygen attaches to hemoglobin, it slightly changes the molecule’s structure and how it reflects light. This makes oxygen-rich blood appear bright red.

Venous blood, on the other hand, has already delivered much of its oxygen to body tissues. With less oxygen attached, hemoglobin reflects light differently, giving this blood a darker, deeper red or maroon tone.

Despite a common myth, blood inside the human body is never blue. Veins only appear bluish through the skin because of how light passes through tissue and how our eyes interpret color. The blood itself remains red at all times, just varying in brightness depending on oxygen levels.

This difference is a straightforward result of oxygen chemistry and light interaction with hemoglobin.

⚠️ FYI ⚠️

If you get overheated in this weather, DO NOT drink ice cold water 💧 immediately.. Allow your body temperature to slowly cool down first. Drink room temperature or cool water but not ice cold.. Your body can go into Hypothermic shock 🥵 and you will pass out or even die. Be careful out there people 💖

Hey everyone and Happy Holidays 🎄

I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.. It’s about that time for some of my clients to have their CPR renewed, and I’d be more than happy to assist you with that so you can continue working without skipping a beat.. All new clients are welcome as well. I sent out reminders to the clients who are due by the end of January so everyone is aware that they are expiring. I know it’s the holidays and yes I’m still available at any time. Just give me a call, text or email and I can help you get certified. Have a great day and stay safe. 🫁🫀💪🏽

Hey everyone 🙂. I’m so sorry I’ve been M.I.A lately do to personal reasons. I can still do virtual CPR classes for now and renewals, but I can’t do in person classes at the moment. I still get phone calls, and talk to and help clients and potential clients all the time. The other day, I had a client call me and I told him I wasn’t in town at the moment. He had a few questions, which I gladly helped him with as I do all of my clients and potential clients.. I wasn’t expecting for him to leave me a review on my company page 🥺… and this is what is said 👇🏽. It nearly brought me to tears. Everything I do is for my clients and to make my business better.. With that being said, I will be letting everyone know when I’m fully back and I’ll keep y’all updated.. Thank you all so much for being awesome and patient with me!! 🥰💖🫀🫁
