Thanks for all you do, Mrs. Lauer!

Behind every smooth school year is someone working tirelessly behind the scenes. We want to give a HUGE thank you to the one and only, Mrs. Andrea Lauer!

From mastering Infinite Campus to juggling countless tasks, she wears many hats (literally) and does it all with a heart of gold. Her dedication, hard work, and quiet leadership make a HUGE difference for our staff and students every day.

Mrs. Lauer, we see you. We appreciate you. You are truly the unsung hero of MGPS.

Welcome Mrs. Jones!

Mrs. Erica Jones was hired as our Middle School Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome her to McClusky-Goodrich. Erica earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Minot State University and has spent her career teaching elementary students across central North Dakota. From her early years in a combined third/fourth grade classroom in Bowdon, to fifth/sixth grade in Sykeston, to third and then fourth grade in Fessenden, Erica has consistently poured her heart into helping students grow. She is known for creating warm, supportive classrooms where students feel valued, encouraged, and capable of reaching their full potential.

Erica and her husband, Troy, live on their family farm near Bowdon, where family, and hard work are at the center of their lives. They have three daughters: their oldest, McKayla, and her husband, Parker, live on a farm and ranch near Esmond; their middle daughter, Madison, is pursuing a degree in medicine; and their youngest daughter, Rylee, is pursuing a degree in nursing. Erica’s pride in her family shines through in everything she does, and her deep roots in our rural communities make her an especially meaningful addition to our district.

With 24 years of teaching experience, Erica brings not only expertise, but also kindness, humility, and a genuine love for kids to McClusky-Goodrich. We feel incredibly fortunate that she has chosen to share the next chapter of her career with us, and we are thrilled to welcome her into our Dragon family. Please join us in giving Mrs. Jones a warm McClusky-Goodrich welcome in the comments and when you see her around school!

Congratulations Mrs. Lauer!

We are excited to share some wonderful news for the 2026–2027 school year. Amanda Lauer will be stepping into the role of Kindergarten teacher.

Amanda has done an incredible job as our Pre-K teacher, building strong relationships with students and families and creating a nurturing, engaging learning environment. We are thrilled that our youngest learners will continue to benefit from her care, dedication, and passion—just in a new role.

As Amanda completes her degree, Mrs. Shelby Felchle will continue to serve as the teacher of record. We are grateful for her ongoing support and commitment during this transition.

Please join me in celebrating Amanda as she takes this exciting next step. Our Kindergarten students are in wonderful hands.

Congratulations Mrs. Felchle!

We are proud to announce that Mrs. Shelby Felchle has accepted the position of Elementary Principal and Assistant High School Principal.

Shelby has been a beloved Kindergarten teacher in our school, where she has made a lasting impact on our youngest learners through her kindness, patience, and unwavering dedication. She has a special way of making every child feel seen, valued, and excited to learn, and her classroom has been a place where strong foundations—and even stronger relationships—are built.

A proud McClusky alumna, Shelby grew up in our community and graduated from McClusky High School. She earned her degree in Elementary Education from Valley City State University and taught in Anamoose before returning home to teach and serve in McClusky. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in School Administration through the University of Mary.

Shelby is married to her husband, Cole, and together they have a son, Arnie, and a Boston Terrier named Bella. Outside of school, she runs a sprayer and a custom applicating business.

While she will be greatly missed in the Kindergarten classroom, we are incredibly excited to see the care, leadership, and heart she brings to this new role. Our entire school community will benefit from the same compassion and commitment that have made her such an exceptional teacher.
