💙 Help Us Build Our New Life Skills Classroom! 💙

We’re excited to share that George Plava Elementary now has a Life Skills classroom! 🎉 This is a wonderful opportunity to create a fun, welcoming space where our students can learn, practice everyday skills, and build confidence and independence.

We’re looking for new or gently used items to help fill the classroom, including:

🧱 Blocks & building activities
🔄 Sorting & matching activities
🎲 Elementary games
🧩 Puzzles
🎨 Hands-on activities
🧠 Learning & problem-solving games
🧸 Educational toys

If you have something at home that you think would be a great fit, we would love to put it to use in our new classroom! Every donation, big or small, will help us create a space our students can enjoy and learn from. 💙

‘Twas the night before kindergarten,
And all through the house,
Little shoes were lined up,
As quiet as a mouse. 🐭

The backpack was ready,
The outfit laid out,
Tomorrow’s first day
Was what it was all about! 📚

There might be some butterflies,
And maybe a tear,
But new friends and adventures
Are waiting right here. 💛

So snuggle in close,

Our very own Plava first grader, Caison, is collecting aluminum pull tabs to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Pittsburgh & Morgantown and help families with seriously ill children. 🥰

Mrs. Brown will be collecting the tabs at Plava and making sure they get to Caison’s family to support this special cause.

💧 Sparkling water cans
