Great opportunity for your classroom to participate virtually in discovering the importance of dairy farmers and how the milk they drink originates. 🐄🐮🤠🥛

Teachers — bring the farm to the classroom this year!🐮📚

Through Discover Dairy’s (free) Adopt a Cow program, classrooms can “adopt” a real dairy calf and follow its journey throughout the school year!

Students receive photos and updates as their calf grows, along with activity sheets, lessons and opportunities to learn how dairy farmers care for animals and cows produce milk.

We’re looking for driven, energetic high school freshmen and sophomores who are focused on self-improvement and developing the skills needed to become Alabama’s future leaders.

We are having another meeting on August 30th from 2-430pm!

This will be a joint meeting with the young farmers group of St. Clair County! We are also going to have a few speakers (more details to come on that!) This will be a great way to network with our neighboring county’s group as well as for new members to come out and meet the group!

The Jefferson County Farmers Federation recently presented checks in support of Jefferson County FFA and agriscience programs during the annual Jefferson County Ag Summit in Gardendale.

The summit brings agricultural agencies together with agriscience teachers to discuss resources and opportunities available to support students throughout Jefferson County.
