Vulcan Forge We are a group of blacksmiths that get together on the first Saturday of the month. Join us and learn

We are a group of blacksmiths that get together once a month to lie to each other about the size of our forges and collectively hit our thumbs with hammers.... feel free to join us anytime! We meet the 1st Saturday of each month at the Bell Barn in Tannehill State Park. Drive around behind the Tannehill Smith and past the Art Casters shed we are the building on the left with the big anvil out front. Open to anyone 16 and up (12 with an adult) interested in the art of blacksmithing or metalwork in general. 1st meeting is come one come all, 2nd and subsequent meetings you must be a member of the Alabama Forge Council (www.alaforge.org) for insurance purposes.

It is with profound sadness I have to report founding member and former president of the Alabama Forge Council, Jim Batson passed away today from complications of pneumonia. No further details have been announced.

Please keep Barbara and the rest of the family in your thoughts as prayers. The world lost a good man today.
