Awesome Adaptive Wilderness Sports of McCall AWeSOMe! We are a passionate nonprofit organization of outdoor volunteers dedicated to empowering individuals with physical or cognitive disabilities.

Our mission is: Empowering people of all abilities through high quality outdoor experiences. AWeSOMe!, founded in the winter of 2001-2002, provides ski lessons as well as many other outdoor activities. Our goal is to provide participants the opportunity to learn new skills, challenge themselves, and work together to enhance the health and selfconfidence necessary to expand human potential.

'Twas a tad Irish on the course today, but boy did these smiles make us want to dance a jig!
Huge thank you to the Idaho Veterans Chamber Of Commerce for helping us get the word out, to Jug Mountain Ranch for hosting this great group of veterans, to the McCall Payette Lakes Rotary Group for the WIN grant that supported this event, and to the American Legion Post #119 which sponsored the noms for these troopers when they came in off the course.
Veterans meeting, supporting, and educating one another about the great programs (like PGA HOPE and Veterans View) makes for a beautiful day. Pretty darn grateful to be a part of it, and hope to see you all out there again soon!

This last weekend was a special one for us. We hosted a camping trip for 8 incredible veterans from the valley this week and had the best time! We spent so much time on the water, ate yummy food, played a ton of co****le and football, laughed til we dropped, and got to share the joy of the outdoors together. We are so grateful to all those who made this trip possible. We'd like to to thank our volunteers who helped with meals, kayaking, set up and take down, and all of the other things in between and Kat and the VA down in Boise for helping to organize this adventure. And thank you to our wonderful veterans who came and hung out with us for a couple days. It was a blast!!

Some recents from our Out n About and Play for the Fun of It activities....Biking last week in Ponderosa was a blast! Our days are pretty fun over here. We biked, played at the beach, lost to Beth in co****le and biking games (did you know she used to be a pro mtn bike racer?), and spent some quality time with our lovely participants. If you're looking for a final summer activity we plan to golf Wednesday at Jug Mountain! This will be for Out n About AND Play for the Fun of It. The 2026 Carboard Boat Regatta was a total success! We saw some incredible looking boats, some spectacular sinks, and crowd pleasing wins this year! Participants faced some rain and winds but that didn't stop them! Thank you to all of them for putting on an entertaining race and supporting our cause. And did you see that crowd? They looked incredible! Thank you to all our fans in the stands. Until next year, folks! Better start drawing up plans nowđź‘€

Some more shots from our Play for the Fun of It and Out N About activites this summer! We've been having a blast and hope to see you at our upcoming events! We have golf and biking coming up and it's going to be a great timeđź‘€

Out N About and Play for the Fun of it are our summer programs for kids and young adults in our community who have developmental disabilities. We are so incredibly grateful to the Anne and Frank Cahouet Foundation for their generous donations that have helped us to fund these programs and keep AWeSOMe running.

The week is officially here! The Cardboard Boat Regatta happens THIS Saturday, August 22nd! If you've dreamed of being a pirate, you're fiercely competitive, you love winning prizes, or you're simply down for a good time, this event is calling your name. Your participation helps local individuals and families access the outdoor recreation in McCall that we all cherish and take part in.
