CULINARY PROGRAM - McCall. McCall College invites you to join the West Central Mountains Culinary Program with Chef Topple. This program is a two-year apprenticeship designed to prepare you for a career in the foodservice industry. The program is in iconic McCall, Idaho, at regional resorts, restaurants, and hotels. The apprentice will receive 6 months of education and be employed for 12 months each year. Top chefs will offer instruction and mentorship. For GED or trade students, The language of Math. This course starts at Math basics and carries the student to Algebra 2. Monday & Wednesday @ 6:30 p.m. for 15 weeks. Starts March 7th. Tuition: $33.00.

For environmentally aware students, Environmental Spirituality and Ethics. This course focuses on the spiritual nature of our relationship with the environment through the lens of the major world religions. Thursdays @ 6:30 p.m. for 15 weeks. Starts March 10th. Tuition: $20 per lecture for 15 weeks or $330.00.

Location: Park Place Professional Center, 106 E. Park Street, Suite #127. Thursdays @ 6:30 during November except Thanksgiving.
This course introduces you to the GED, assesses your math level, and helps get you started in online learning. No laptop! No problem! A laptop is available for your course use.
Interested in Trade Math. Register for our Spring 2022 course The Language of Math: GED & Trade Math. This course takes you back to math basics such as addition and division. It then carries you through all the concepts up to Algebra 2. You are then ready for Geometry.
Tuition (10% of regular rates): Orientation $11.00; and Language of Math $33.00.

What was your decision process when you removed the mask mandate in February 2021? How do you react when local governments such as McCall reimpose their own mask mandates? Key questions addressed: What is the most important reason that a vaccine hesitant person should get the vaccine ASAP? How do the concepts of individual choice and social responsibility fit into this conversation? What do we need to know now about COVID-19 and its original variants? Where do these variants come from? What does delta mean? How likely is a person in Valley County or our general region to get the virus and experience its symptoms? What is the status of area hospitals if someone contracts the virus and has significant symptoms? What is the role of masks and social distancing in the prevention of disease? Paper masks are hot and bothersome. How do we improve our masks for long-term comfort? Should the school board mandate masks and social distancing in McCall-Donnelly? Why? What is the best way to treat COVID-19 in its active state? Are there any new treatments that have been efficacious or helpful to active disease? How are the three vaccines—Pfizer, Moderna & J&J—doing in reducing the virus’ activity? Are children at higher risk with delta? When might we see a vaccine for less than age 12? What have we learned about the long-term efficacy of the vaccines? Has the side-effect profile changed for the vaccines? Why do we need a booster? Does this mean that the original vaccines are defective? How often do the studies indicate that we will need boosters into the future?
