Scaffold creativity with academic skills
For 6th-12th graders, our accredited, academic classes create cross-subject foundations for coding, consulting, tech, and entrepreneurial jobs. Taking even one class that challenges them to work at the edge of their abilities gives students skills that advance performance in all subjects; starting this process in Middle School builds those advanced skills over time.
We believe that all students benefit from “Gifted and Talented” techniques, so all of our classes are structured to provide GT challenges to every student at his/her level.
The GT designation applies to students who test in the top 1% of their public school classes, so students who are bright but do not test well may be left out of public school opportunities— simply because of test scores. That type of sorting privileges students based on other criteria than their ability to achieve in school.
We concentrate on helping all of our students understand what quality work is. Gradually building their skills over several years makes kids comfortable with complex assignments when they arrive on their future college campuses.
