Attention Seniors:

Herff Jones will be here on Sept 9th at 11:30 AM in the gym to talk about senior items, gowns, announcements, etc. The meeting should not last longer than 15 minutes. All CCP students are encouraged to attend.

The Herff Jones Rep will make an appointment to see our VCHS- BHCC students very soon.

There are five welding spots available to juniors. Any student who wants to join this pathway needs to sign up tomorrow, Thursday, August 21st.

High School Reminders for the 20th:

With the flexibility of high school schedules, it is important for ALL in-person high school students to report to the highschool on the 20th by 8:15AM so that all start-up paperwork and practices are covered. Students with a first period on their schedule will report to that classroom. Please refer to Progressbook. All students will get a hard copy of their schedule in their 1st period class.

The following special groups of kids need to report to the noted locations if there is no 1st period on schedule:
AM welders will report to Mr. Cline's room
PM welders will report to their 1st period class.
CCP students will report to the media center
Late arrivals - Mr. Hartley's rm.

Vinton County High School was recently recognized with a Purple Star Designation by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. The Purple Star Award recognizes schools that show a major commitment to students and families connected to our nation’s military.

VCHS report cards have been passed out. Parents can see grades on the Parent Portal or stop by the office to pick up a hard copy. Hard copies will be available until June 2nd.

As we conclude this school year with another successful graduation, we would like to congratulate the Class of 2025 on reaching this milestone. We wish you all the best as you move forward into the next chapter of your life.

It takes much work from many people to produce a graduation ceremony. We would like to thank our custodial staff for their hard work preparing the building and our school grounds for the ceremony, our senior class advisors for all of the behind-the-scenes planning and organization, and our entire school staff for the positive influence you have had on our students to ensure they were able to reach this point. We must also acknowledge all of the wonderful, influential people from the elementary and middle schools who laid the foundation for their students. And most importantly, we must thank the incredible Vinton County community for the support you give our students and our school. Without this ongoing support, what we do as a school and as a school district would not be possible.

VCHS would like to thank Bellisio Foods Corporation in Jackson, Ohio, for hosting our Sophomore Grade Level Advisory field trip. This trip aligns with the college and career topics discussed in advisory during the second semester. The grade level got a tour of the company, information about the different kinds of careers offered through Bellisio, and a taste of what factory life looks like.
