Ballet Folklorico South Texas College is proud to announce the 2017 panel of adjudicators for La Feria de South Texas College: Folklórico & Contemporary Dance Competition. These renowned scholars of Mexican folkloric dance have an array of experience across various dance genres, and together, have many years of learning and teaching experience in the field.

Estudiosos y reconocidos en la danza folklórica mexicana, tienen una gran variedad de experiencias entre diferentes géneros de danza, y en conjunto, tienen muchos años de aprendizaje y experiencia en la enseñanza del folklore mexicano.

We have the pleasure of inviting you to attend our annual Folklórico and Contemporary dance competition, as either spectator or participant. This present year marks our third competition. With help of some of the top dance scholars across Mexico, we've had the pleasure of providing a platform in which many groups have allowed us to adjudicate and award their hard efforts to keep our cultural traditions and practices alive. The deadline for participant registration is February 26th. Please join us as South Texas College recognizes dancers and dances from across our region. We invite the public to come out and experience Competencia Folklórica del Colegio del Sur de Tejas 2015, and find out who will be taking this 6 foot "Best of the Best" trophy for most overall outstanding performance. Join us this Saturday, March 28th through Sunday, March 29th at the McAllen Civic Center Auditorium. General audience bracelets are $5.00 per day and can be purchased at the door the day of the event (Cash Only.)

We are a week away from Competencia Folklórica del Colegio del Sur de Tejas 2015! We'd like to thank the attendees for the overwhelming support and for choosing to take part in this 2nd annual event hosted by Ballet Folklórico South Texas College and the Center for Mexican American Studies at South Texas College. If you have a chance stop by the McAllen Civic Center Auditorium on Saturday, March 28th or Sunday, 29th, 2015. Admission to the competition is $5.00 and open to the general public.
