📣 We’re thrilled to announce that the McAllen Public Library (MPL) has officially kicked off its annual “Food for Fines” Food Drive in support of our holiday hunger relief efforts!

Now through Sunday, Dec. 7, you can help make a difference and clear your overdue library fines by donating canned goods at any MPL location! For every food item you donate, $3 will be waived from your existing library fines.

No fines? You’re still invited to donate cans and support the fight against hunger this holiday season.

All donated food will go directly to the Food Bank RGV as we work to increase food assistance across our community, ensuring that thousands of families and neighbors can enjoy a warm, hunger-free holiday season. 🧡🍽

On September 4th we had the pleasure of welcoming our wonderful families for Meet the Teacher Night! Families met our amazing teachers, toured classrooms, explored student work, and shared meaningful conversations about their child’s milestones and growth.

At NHLA we believe that strong family school communication is the foundation for every child’s success. When parents and teachers work together, children thrive both academically and socially. 🌟

Today our academy came together to celebrate Mexican Independence Day! 💚🤍❤️

Our little learners enjoyed music, colors, and traditions that highlight the beauty of Mexican culture. From singing and dancing to festive crafts, we honored a day full of pride, history, and community.

We are proud to share these traditions with our children, teaching them about culture, unity, and respect for diversity. ✨

Our Pre-K 3 friends are starting their mornings with the Pledge of Allegiance!
At this age, children are building routines, language, and a sense of community. Saying the pledge each day helps them practice memory, respect, and unity while learning the importance of belonging. We are so proud of our little patriots as they stand tall, place their hands on their hearts, and learn together. ❤️💙
