Tech Prep was founded in 1992 to manage the affairs of the Lower Rio Grande Valley Tech Prep Consortium. With partnerships expanding over time, Tech Prep staff now manage multiple regional collaborative partnerships. Current partnerships include the Lower Rio Grande P-16 Council, Academic Leadership Alliance, Education and Career EXPO, and others.
