We’re excited to share the latest progress on the new Janet Vackar High School at Covenant Christian Academy.
We are currently on track with our schematic design, and, Lord willing, we anticipate putting the project out to bid by the end of November. Our tentative plan is to begin construction in February 2027, with completion projected for Fall 2028.
But this project is about far more than a building. It is about creating a place where we can continue raising up young men and women who are prepared academically, equipped for their future, and committed to leading for Christ.
Today, we also met with the South Texas College dual enrollment leadership team, and I walked away incredibly encouraged by the opportunities ahead for our students.
We are blessed to be the only Christian school in the South Texas region offering a full dual enrollment pathway where students have the opportunity to graduate with an associate degree while still in high school.
Moving forward, we are also working to incorporate specialized academies through South Texas College. Beginning in 10th grade, students will be able to choose pathways in areas such as criminal justice, engineering, psychology, biology, and business, helping them build a stronger foundation for college and their future careers.
There is no doubt that God has been doing something very special on our campus, and we are deeply grateful for His faithfulness.
We’re excited about what is ahead, not simply because we are building something new, but because of the lives that will be shaped inside these walls.
