Who would’ve thought that little old me..the one who, in the eyes of some, “hasn’t accomplished much” would one day have this group of incredible black belts standing beside me?
I took this picture because it’s honestly hard to get us all on the mats at the same time. But when I went back and looked at it later…man, I couldn’t help but smile. Bueno… también chillé. 😭
These men have poured so much into Enzo. They’ve invested their time, shared their knowledge, supported our students, and believed in the vision from the very beginning. Each one brings something different to the table, and that’s exactly what makes this team so special.
But more than anything, they’ve trusted me.
Trust isn’t built overnight. It’s built over years of showing up for one another, learning together, growing together, and continuing to choose each other through every season of life.
Some of us have taken breaks. Life has happened. Careers have changed. Families have grown. Babies have been born. Priorities have shifted. But one thing has remained the same:we always find our way back to these mats and to each other. And I think that’s something really special.
They are the backbone of Enzo.
In today’s world, it’s easy to think success is measured by how many medals you post, how often you compete, or how loud you are on social media.
Pero déjenme les digo algo…
I’ve said this time and time again…
Medals don’t define people. Period.
Character does.
Consistency does.
Loyalty does.
Trust does.

Our morning kicked off with an incredible guard passing clinic led by Professor Jesus Gutierrez. We’re truly grateful for his willingness to share his knowledge, experience, and passion with our team 🙏🏼

We also had the privilege of celebrating a few well-earned belt promotions. A reminder that consistency, perseverance, and hard work never go unnoticed.

We couldn’t be prouder of every student who contributes to the culture we’ve built. Each of you adds value to our academy and plays an important role in making our team stronger, both on and off the mats.

Thank you for your continued dedication, trust, and support. We’re honored to be part of your journey, and we’re excited to keep growing, learning, and achieving together.

As I was sweeping the academy this morning, waiting for everyone to arrive, I looked up and saw everyone catching up, laughing, and genuinely enjoying each other’s company.
It made me realize that we’ve built something really special here.

Jiu Jitsu is what brings us through the doors, but it’s the friendships, camaraderie, and the people that make this place feel like home.

I’m incredibly proud of the culture we’re creating together.
Thank you all for bringing the energy, the positivity, and the great vibes every time you step through those doors.
There’s no better way to start the day than walking into a room full of people who support each other and enjoy being around one another.
