October is National Bullying Prevention Month. In preschool, prevention is the name of the game. At this age, children aren’t really capable of intentionally bullying another quite yet, but they will have disagreements with peers and act out of frustration. Being Kind is Always Nice. ❤️

It's never too early to learn letter recognition!Identifying letters is an important skill for children to develop because it forms the foundation for learning to read and write ✍️. 😍❤️😊🙌

Ch is traditionally considered a distinct letter of the Spanish alphabet, called che.

A is for Acorns! Do a Dot markers are so much fun and by grabbing the markers and choosing where to place the dot, your child is working on their hand-eye coordination. You can also use other objects to help your preschooler paint shapes on paper as they get creative and most important, have fun!

Exposure to early letter and number fluency will help to lay the foundation for learning the alphabet and numbers as your little one grows and develops.

Our daily morning routine. Being outside gives infants and toddlers lots of time and opportunity to develop their large motor skills, to freely crawl, walk, climb, run, and move their bodies. This promotes a healthy body and helps strengthen their hearts, lungs, and muscles. ❤️ 💪

My Fall Tree. Messy play like finger painting is important to every child’s development. In infants it helps by improving fine motor development by strengthening finger and hand muscles.

Nothing says fall like a tree covered in red, brown, orange, and yellow colored leaves. Adding fall activities to your curriculum will excite your preschoolers about the season while helping them develop their creative, cognitive, social-emotional, and problem-solving skills.

Friendly footprint/handprint fish swim inside big paper fishbowls. This project will keep kids smiling while turning their handprints/footprints into fish!

Fresh air and sunshine have well-documented benefits, but being outside is good for your baby in other ways too. Their senses are stimulated by the visual contrast of trees or buildings against the sky overhead, a breeze on their face, and new scents and sounds. Spending time outside can also improve language skills—and maybe even their sleep. ❤️

Being able to use scissors to cut well is important for many preschool and school activities. Children may have the skills to use small scissors by three to four years of age, but scissor skills are not fully developed until 6 years of age.

Baby Shark activities for our toddlers. With baby shark songs toddlers can affiliate with the words baby, daddy, mommy, grandpa, grandma! They also have fun dancing 🕺 !

Our little ones learned about seahorses today! Very fascinating sea creatures. Seahorses are family-orientated creatures that exhibit some extremely tender character traits and they’ve worked their way firmly into the hearts of many scuba divers. Just like our little ones work their ways into our hearts. 🥰 ❤️

Crabs! 🦀 Did you know a group of crabs is called a cast. Male crabs usually have blue colored claws, while female crabs have red colored.
🦀 Nutrition Fact: Crab meat is high in vitamin B12, and 2-3 ounces of crab meat is enough to meet adult daily B12 requirements. 😋

This week we learned about many ocean animals. Dolphins are always fun to learn about! Did you know when a dolphin goes to sleep, it shuts down one hemisphere of its brain and closes the opposite eye. This allows the dolphin to monitor what’s going on around them and to regulate breathing! Incredible!

Our toddler class learning about underwater creatures. Did you know octopuses have blue blood, three hearts and a doughnut-shaped brain!

A diamond is also known as a rhombus. Diamonds are a type of Parallelogram. All four sides of a diamond are equal. Opposite angles of a diamond are equal. It's fun learning about diamonds and the possibilities of creating different artworks with basic shapes!

Hailstones are formed when raindrops are carried upward by thunderstorm updrafts into extremely cold areas of the atmosphere and freeze. Hailstones then grow by colliding with liquid water drops that freeze onto the hailstone's surface.
Our students got to enjoy watching the rain and hail fall this afternoon. They were so excited! And the thunder was amazing!
