🍎✨ Tonight, the McAllen ISD Board of Trustees proudly recognized the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Teacher Residents who served throughout the district during the 2025–2026 school year.

At Francisca Alvarez ES, we were honored to host five Teacher Residents who became an important part of our Tiger family. Throughout the year, they dedicated themselves to learning, growing, and supporting our students while gaining valuable classroom experience. Their enthusiasm, commitment, and passion for education made a positive impact on our campus.

We are grateful for the contributions each of them made to Alvarez and proud to have played a role in their journey toward becoming educators. Thank you for investing your time, talents, and heart into our Tigers.

A special thank you to our mentor teachers for their dedication and commitment to supporting these residents throughout the year. Your guidance, encouragement, and willingness to share your expertise helped shape the next generation of educators, and we are grateful for the impact you made.

🌊🐯 After a few weather-related setbacks, we were finally able to enjoy our Francisca Alvarez Elementary Splash Day at the City of McAllen TX Municipal Pool! What a fun and memorable way to celebrate the end of the school year with our Tigers.

A huge thank you to our teachers and students for their flexibility and positive attitudes as we adjusted schedules to make the day happen. We are also incredibly grateful to our amazing PTO parents who came out to grill hot dogs and open concessions for our students. Your support helped make the day extra special!

Most importantly, our Tigers had an amazing time, full of smiles, laughter, and special memories with friends and staff. We were so excited to celebrate the end of another wonderful school year with them! 🐯☀️💦

We are incredibly proud of all that our Francisca Alvarez Elementary Drumline accomplished this year and excited to see what is in store for them in the coming year! 🥁🐯

Tonight’s Drumline Showcase gave us a special glimpse of our incoming 3rd and 4th graders as they begin their Drumline journey, along with special performances from our outgoing 5th graders as they take their final bow before moving on to middle school. We are so proud of the dedication, growth, and talent displayed by all of our Tigers and cannot wait to see what next year brings! 💛🖤

What a special day at Alvarez Elementary as we welcomed graduating seniors from Official Nikki Rowe Warriors and Achieve Early College High School back to their roots for our Senior Walk! 🎓🐯

Seeing our former Tigers return filled our halls with pride as we celebrated how much they have grown. Our Little Tigers watched in awe, inspired by the example you set and the dreams you represent.

What an unforgettable day celebrating our incredible 5th Grade Tigers during their Graduation Ceremony! 💛✨

The celebration began with a special Graduate Walk as our entire school lined the hallways, cheering on our graduates and celebrating this important milestone. Seeing our Tigers walk proudly while surrounded by love, encouragement, and Tiger spirit made the day even more meaningful. 🐯🎉

Throughout the ceremony, we celebrated the hard work, growth, friendships, leadership, and accomplishments of our students as they prepare to take the next big step to middle school. We ended this special celebration with a meaningful Decision Day presentation, where our graduates proudly shared their future career dreams and aspirations. From teachers and nurses to engineers, athletes, business owners, and more, their goals reminded us that the future is bright! ✨

To our graduates, we are so proud of the young leaders you have become. Continue to dream big, work hard, be kind, and believe in yourselves.
