🤍 Have you heard of D-MER?

D-MER can cause a sudden wave of negative emotions right before or during milk let-down. It’s real, it’s temporary, and you’re not alone. 🌸

Understanding what’s happening can make all the difference. More moms need to know about D-MER. Share this with a mama who may need it. 🤍

✨ The Golden Hour ✨

The first hour after birth is known as the Golden Hour—a special time when your baby begins adjusting to life outside the womb and is naturally primed to bond and breastfeed.

During this first hour:
🤍 Skin-to-skin helps regulate your baby’s temperature, heart rate, and breathing.
🤍 Babies are often most alert and instinctively begin searching for the breast.
🤍 Early breastfeeding helps signal your body to begin producing milk.

But remember, every birth and every breastfeeding journey is different. If that first feeding doesn’t go as planned, you haven’t failed. Simply holding your baby skin-to-skin still provides incredible benefits, and it’s never too late to ask for help.

As we kick off World Breastfeeding Week, let’s celebrate every journey, support one another, and remember that no mama has to do this alone. 🌸

Have you heard of the Golden Hour before? Did you get to experience it? I’d love to hear your experience.🤍

🌎🤍 Happy World Breastfeeding Week!🤍🌎

Day 1: We’re starting with one of the most important moments in a breastfeeding journey: The Golden Hour.

That first hour after birth is a powerful time for bonding, skin-to-skin contact, and those first breastfeeding moments. Even if things don’t go exactly as planned, every step counts and support is always available.

Here’s to celebrating, supporting, and empowering breastfeeding families this week and beyond. Support is available.

Three years ago, I had the privilege of helping this sweet little one’s big brother on his breastfeeding journey. Today, I have the honor of helping him. 🤍

Watching families grow and being invited back to support them again is something I’ll never take for granted. There truly is no greater compliment than a mama trusting me with not just one baby, but another.

Thank you to every family who places their trust in me and allows me to walk alongside you during such a precious season. I’m incredibly grateful that God has allowed me to use the gifts He’s given me to serve and support so many amazing mamas and babies. ✨🙏🏻🤍

Bittersweet day. 💙 This sweet boy is about to turn ONE, and he’s getting ready to begin the weaning journey. It has been such an honor to support his family from those early newborn days to this milestone. Watching my little patients grow is one of the greatest blessings of what I do. 🥹

🤍🙏🏻

Today we pray for the momma who needs to hear that she is a good mom. Lord, so many voices try to make her doubt herself, to doubt her decisions, to doubt her ability to be a good mom. Today Lord, please remind her that You picked her to be the momma for these children, and they are her children no matter their age(s). So right now, we say to her, You are a good momma, receive that in your heart and rest in the Lord. May He fill you with perfect peace right now. We pray in Jesus’s name, amen.

As Nurses Week comes to an end, I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on what it truly means to be a nurse. 🤍
The long days, the emotional moments, the advocating, the comforting, the educating, the multitasking… it’s more than just a job. It’s a calling.

Some days are exhausting, some days are overwhelming, but every day reminds me why I chose this path. To care for others in their most vulnerable moments is something I never take lightly.

Whether I’m caring for students in my clinic, supporting moms through their breastfeeding journey, or simply being a safe place for someone who needs compassion… I’m grateful God trusted me with this role. ✨

To every nurse out there: thank you for showing up, even on the hard days. Your work matters more than you know. 💉🩺🤍
