I just got word that today is National Mascot Day. 🐆

Earlier today, we meet with representatives from Charlie Clarke Hyundai to discuss partnership opportunities that will benefit students across the RGV and provide learning experiences and hands-on training to create a workforce ready population in the high-demand career of Automotive Technology.

With continued rain and flooding forecast for the region, STC has announced a delayed opening of 10 a.m. for all its campuses for Tuesday, June 16.

Again, there will be a 2-hour delayed opening for all STC students and employees.

Congratulations to the City of Pharr on the groundbreaking of the city’s Multi-use Facility and thank you for the invite to today’s ceremony.

This facility is going to serve thousands of residents, not only from Pharr, but from surrounding communities.

Pharr continues to grow and we are honored to have a front row seat. Thank you partners and friends at Pharr.

STC, Donna Independent School District and the South Texas Builders Association have partnered to meet the urgent needs of the construction industry, through a South Texas Construction & Innovative Academy that provides hands-on training opportunities to their students in this high-demand career.

I’m humbled to have been presented with the 2026 Futuro RGV Community Leader Award, this evening.

I accept this award on behalf of our students, faculty, staff and community partners like Futuro RGV, that dedicate themselves to enhancing our region, our economic growth and making college accessible and affordable for all.

What an honor to celebrate the Covenant Christian Academy first STC Dual Credit graduating class.

These students are the pioneers in CCA’s Janet Vackar Distinguished Leadership High School.

These students are leading the way for others at CCA, and now, with their associate degrees, they have a head start on their college education.

We were recently invited to meet with Orlando Campos, CEO of the Harlingen EDC, to explore STC’s workforce development trainings and course offerings to provide opportunities in profesional skills for economic and workforce development in the RGV.

In a meeting with longtime partner Donna ISD Superintendent Dr. Angela Dominguez and the South Texas Builders Alliance, a partnership between all three entities was discussed, which could mean enhanced training and hands-on experience for STC Dual Credit Programs students that will continue to produce workforce ready graduates.
