We are finishing up June and my goodness Project Prevent has been busy! We have had 2 Nurture Groups, 1 SPARCS group, 3 staff members go through TBRI practitioner training, and 2 therapists go through EMDR training!

We are gearing up for the next school year and we are ready to serve MPS!

McAlester Public Schools is applying for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant to serve students at Parker Intermediate Center and Randy Hughes Middle School. This program aims to provide academic support, enrichment opportunities, and cultural experiences beyond the school day and year and would benefit students for the next five years. Your input is vital in helping us design a program that meets the needs of our students and families. Please take the time to fill out the survey:

Today was RHMS’ last day of gymnastics for the year! We cannot thank McAlester Elite Gymnastics Academy aka MEGA Gymnastics enough for their partnership with MPS. These students have grown not only in their athleticism, but in their confidence, self efficacy, and relationships. We are so proud of our students!

We are gearing up for another Title I Night! Randy Hughes Middle School and McAlester High School are partnering up for a spectacular night filled with pizza, math literacy, and community resources. We cannot wait to see everyone!
