Pittsburg County OHCE Pittsburg County OHCE has approximately 35 members in four county-wide clubs: Northtown, Twin Communities, Town & County, and Crowder.

Serving our communities through family education since 1950. Oklahoma Home and Community Education is an organization committed to education about family and consumer issues, community service, and bringing friends together. OHCE members are adults of all ages and gender who are interested in continuing their education in family life skills. Groups consist of women, men and couples. OHCE has a str

ong history of promoting family values and shaping communities. PIttsburg County OHCE Goals:
-Healthy Living: Provide current information to assure maintenance of healthy environment and lifestyle.
-Leadership Development: Educational opportunities for members toe excel in the area of volunteer leadership.
-Resource Management: Increase awareness in areas of financial responsibility, resource conservation.
-Cultural Enrichment: Enrich our lives by studying our culture and the cultures of others.
-Family Living: To improve the life of families in our communities.

We all greatly enjoyed sewing camp 1.0 this year! The campers were very busy creating book pillows, cinch backpacks, ice cream fabric bowls, denim 4th of July windsocks, popsicle coozies, diamond art, fabric painting, 4th of July t-shirts and more.

I Spy.. something BIG happening in McAlester!
Our amazing volunteers are busy "spying" out the best spots and setting the stage for the Kids Fair: "I Spy, I Spy Nature!" Check out this crew getting everything ready for a day of adventuring in nature!

Between the Kids Fair and McAlester Trails Day, Saturday is going to be buzzing:

Annual Kids Fair: I Spy, I Spy Nature"
Where: Southeast Expo Center and Motor Speedway
When: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
The Fun: Stay safe with the Car Seat Inspections and free car seats to eligible families, Child ID Kits provided by Pittsburg County Sheriff's Office, Discover Wildlife with pelts and tracks from OK Dept of Wildlife Conservation, Smokey the Bear from OK Department of Forestry, Become an Active Explorer for Health, Dance with Nature, meet the Fire Pup, learn boat safety from Oklahoma Highway Patrol, receive free books for all ages from McAlester Public Library and catch the buzz on bees with SE OK Beekeepers and much much more.
Door Prizes and Grand Prizes will provided throughout the event.
