Kiamichi Tech has played a significant role in the growth of southeast Oklahoma communities since 1968, serving nine full and four partial counties. With a mission to 'Prepare People for Success," Kiamichi Tech meets local workforce needs through full-time career training programs, short-term courses and customized training for businesses. The Kiamichi Tech page was created as a place for updates about our programs and services and stories about our students and communities to be shared. We encourage the expression of opinions and discussions of topics related to our district. We reserve the right to moderate any and all comments. Our CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Program is celebrating "Manufacturing Month" this October! 😃 What better way to kick off this celebration than by sharing our students' successes?

Alex Rager and Damian Fortune recently started CNC Machine Manufacturing careers with the McAlester Army Am******on Plant. 👏👏 Alex and Damian completed their training during the 2025–2026 academic year under the guidance of Program Instructor Randy Carlile.

The McAlester Army Am******on Plant has long been a strong industry partner for Kiamichi Tech's CNC program and a valued member of the CNC Business and Educational Council.

When the call comes, be ready!

Kiamichi Tech is offering Brush Truck 101, a free, hands-on training for volunteer firefighters focused on safely and effectively operating brush trucks during wildland fires.

Participants will learn about brush truck capabilities and limitations, apparatus familiarization, pump and water system operations, hose deployment and nozzle selection, driving and positioning techniques, fire attack tactics and safe operation in both rural and off-road environments.

Join us Saturday, December 5th and gain practical experience and build confidence in operating a brush truck in a variety of rural and off-road situations.
