This week, our Health Science Long-Term Care Aide students got hands-on practice with proper personal protective equipment (PPE) gowning and gloving procedures. After getting fully suited up, students used chocolate pudding to simulate a contaminated environment and practiced safely removing their PPE while avoiding contamination.

Although this lesson may have been a little messier than some of the others, it was a fun and hands-on way for students to learn and practice important safety procedures they will use throughout their future careers in healthcare.
