Congratulations to Oklahoma FCCLA State Adviser Brittani Phillips on being named the 2025–2026 National FCCLA State Adviser of the Year at the National Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C.!

A proud Oklahoma FCCLA alumna, Brittani’s journey with FCCLA has come full circle. She is a former Oklahoma FCCLA State President, former National FCCLA Officer, and now serves as Oklahoma’s State Adviser. Her lifelong commitment to FCCLA and Family and Consumer Sciences education has inspired countless members, advisers, and communities.

This prestigious recognition celebrates her exceptional leadership, dedication, and the lasting impact she continues to make on FCCLA at the state and national levels.

The MHS FCCLA Officers attended a Challenge Course on Thursday where they were encouraged to hone their communication, collaboration, and cooperation skills, as well as to take risks and strive beyond their comfort zone. The day consisted of low elements, high elements, lots of laughter, a few tears, and the thrill of conquering fears.

Meet our Spotlight Teacher, Wes!

"My name is Wes or Mr. Jag as my students call me. I am a 10 year educator at Mcalester Public Schools where I am a Jag specialist. JAG stands for Jobs for Americas Graduates helping student learn leadership and employability skills. In Jag we learn through project based learning which takes real life scenarios and allows learning to take place in authentic way. I would use the $250 gift to take students ideas and turn them into reality through project base learning."

Congratulations to our graduating seniors! Addison and Pransi have led our chapter well. They’ve inspired me to be the best advisor I can be, and I appreciate these two young women more than they will ever know. The impact they have made on our chapter and our entire school is indelible! 🌹 🦬
