Congratulations to the winner of the Golden Laryngoscope for the month of January, Dr. Yazan Issa!! Nominations noted:

“Yazan spent a couple minutes reassuring a scared patient prior to intubating her during a Code Respiratory. After calming her down, it ended up being one of the smoothest and quietest respiratory codes I can remember. His sense of humor also makes the Anesthesia Library a fun place to be.”

Congratulations to the winner of the Golden Laryngoscope, Dr. Austin Page (CA3)! Nominations noted:

“Dr. Page has stood out for his diligence and support for many people in the department and for aspiring anesthesiologists. He remains approachable and invites conversations about clinical scenarios, never shying away from offering advice that supports the learning of junior residents. He also visibly takes extra time to provide meaningful encouragement and actionable feedback to rotating medical students. His actions and presence embody the welcoming and academic spirit that make our program a wonderful place to train,” and “Always a pleasure to work with. Goes out of his way to help fellow residents and other members of the team.”
