We had a wonderful visit from Professor Maya Peled-Raz yesterday. A remarkable person of moral courage. We gave her a Loyola University Chicago scarf because it felt like she fit right in here. Her time here was all-too-short but I suspect it's just the first of many engagements.

Congratulations to Emily E. Anderson, PhD, MPH, on being named a Hastings Center for Bioethics 2025 Fellow! Hastings Center Fellows are individuals of outstanding accomplishment whose work has informed scholarship and public understanding of complex ethical issues in health, health care, science, and technology.

Dr. Anderson is a professor in the Neiswanger Institute for Bioethics at Stritch and teaches research ethics and responsible conduct of research to graduate and medical students, as well as courses in empirical bioethics and global bioethics. She is the principal investigator of the Loyola University Chicago-Ukrainian Catholic University International Bioethics Training Program, which provides doctoral education in research ethics to scholars and professionals from Ukraine.
