What an incredible way to kick off the 2026–2027 school year! 🎉🏴‍☠️
More than 100 community supporters came together to welcome our students and celebrate the start of a new school year.

A special thank you to the Village of Maywood Mayor and Trustees, Maywood Police and Fire Departments, Public Works, District 209 leadership, board members and staff, local clergy, PLCCA, Black Men United, Black Women United, Proviso Township, our alumni, parents, and the many other community partners who showed up and helped make this day so special.

Your presence, support, and commitment to our students truly made a difference. Welcome back, Pirates! Let’s make it an incredible year! 💙🏴‍☠️

📢 Important Reminder for District 209 Families

Please note that District 209 enrollment and registration services will be closed on Tuesday, August 11, due to the District Institute.
Services will reopen on Wednesday, August 12.

Thank you for your understanding as our staff participates in professional learning. We appreciate your patience and look forward to assisting you when our offices reopen.

A great day for our newest Pirates! ⚓

Yesterday, Proviso East welcomed the Class of 2030 for Freshman Orientation, giving students an opportunity to explore their new school, meet staff, connect with classmates, and prepare for a successful start to the school year.

We are excited to welcome these future leaders to the District 209 family and look forward to an incredible year of learning, growth, and achievement. Welcome to Proviso East!
