Get ready for the sweetest moment of the entire Dodge County Fair! 🐮🐑

By Sunday of the fair, our Mayville FFA members have worked hard and excelled in their classes all week. But the fun doesn’t stop there! Sunday brings an absolute highlight of the weekend: the Little Britches and Little Shepherds showmanship contests. The “littles” take over the shavings at the Dodge County Fairgrounds, and with the help of our dedicated members, they show us all how it’s done!

These contests are about so much more than ribbons—they’re about nurturing a love for agriculture and building confidence early.

✨ Little Britches: Our tiniest showmen and show-women lead adorable dairy calves around the ring with guidance from older youth exhibitors.

✨ Little Shepherds: Gives kids a hands-on taste of showing sheep, using animals generously provided by the fair's Sheep Project members.

A massive shout-out to our Mayville FFA members who step up to mentor, guide, and cheer on these future exhibitors (ages 4 through 3rd grade). Watching our members pass along their knowledge, patience, and passion to the next generation is what agricultural community is all about.
Join us in celebrating both our hard-working FFA mentors and these future leaders! 💙💛

🎉 Future Mayville FFA Members Shine at the Dodge County Fair! 🌾

Get ready for some serious "aww-factor"—the future of our agricultural community is already taking center stage! Throughout the Dodge County Fairgrounds, our youngest future members showed off their talents, gained hands-on experience, and made all of us proud. 👏

💙 Cloverbuds
As some of the youngest exhibitors at the fair (5K–2nd grade), these bright young minds entered their very own divisions and presented between two and five classes. Their hard work and determination were on full display!

🌱 Little Brothers & Little Sisters Project
For youth not quite old enough yet to show animals or enter standard projects, this special program gives them their first taste of what showing at the fair is all about! Beyond ribbons, it’s about building connections, sparking curiosity, and inspiring the next generation. They got to step right into the ring just like their older brothers and sisters, marking the very first step of their fair journey for years to come.
Join us in celebrating the hard work, passion, and big smiles of these incredible future members. We are so proud of every single one of you—Congratulations to all our outstanding exhibitors! 🏆🌟

Over in the Photography division, our members captured the world through their own lenses. Months of practicing lighting, composition, and storytelling culminated in stunning displays of landscapes, animals, portraits, and creative edits. Your photos didn't just capture moments—they captured memories that will last a lifetime. 📷🌾

🌱 Vegetables, Crops & Houseplants at the Dodge County Fair 🌱

The Vegetables, Crops, and Houseplant departments showcase the hard work, knowledge, and dedication of Mayville FFA members putting their green thumbs to the test and showcasing their talents at the Dodge County Fairgrounds. From carefully tended gardens to well-managed fields, these projects highlight the science and skill behind growing quality plants and crops.

🍅 Vegetables: Members bring in produce grown in their own gardens, demonstrating proper planting, care, and harvest techniques. Entries are judged on quality, uniformity, and presentation—showing the results of months of dedication.

🌾 Field Crops: Corn, hay, small grains, and other crops showcase production skills. Exhibitors learn about soil health, crop management, and agricultural practices that connect directly to real-world farming.

🌸 Houseplants & Flowers: From vibrant houseplants to blooming flowers, members display their creativity and care in cultivating beauty. Many projects are started from seeds or cuttings, teaching patience, consistency, and responsibility.

These projects bring color and variety to the fairgrounds while teaching valuable lessons in agriculture, sustainability, and responsibility—skills our students carry with them long after the fair ends! 🌻

🎉 Proud Day for Mayville FFA at the Dodge County Fair! 🐏🐐✨
Join us in celebrating our dedicated Mayville FFA members who exhibited sheep and goats at the Dodge County Fairgrounds

For the past 5 months, these hard-working exhibitors have spent countless hours feeding, cleaning, training, and working closely with their animals to get them market-ready. Your dedication, responsibility, and endless effort behind the scenes truly paid off in the ring. Congratulations to all of our meat animal exhibitors—outstanding job! We couldn’t be prouder of you! 👏❤️
🌟 Celebrating the Art & Passion of Showmanship 🌟
In Mayville FFA, every single member participates in Showmanship for every animal species they exhibit. In our minds, showmanship classes are hands down the best classes of the day!
Why? Because showmanship isn’t judged on the animal—it’s judged entirely on the exhibitor at the end of the halter or lead.
It highlights the exhibitor’s true character and dedication:
✨ Skills & Knowledge
✨ Passion & Effort
✨ Months of Preparation & Determination
A great showman knows how to make an animal look even better, handle any situation with composure, and earn that top placing through hard work. Showmanship is all about the person holding the lead, and our sheep and goat exhibitors proved today just how skilled and determined they are!
Thank you to our parents, advisors, and community supporters for backing our members throughout this season. Keep shining, Mayville FFA! 💙💛
