There is so much good happening at MCMS!

The first week of school is always busy, a little chaotic, and full of opportunities to remind ourselves why we do this work. Watching our staff show up for students, and for one another, has been the perfect way to begin the year.

We’re setting the tone now for the kind of school year we want to have: positive, student-centered, solution-focused, and full of people who choose to notice what’s going right.

We’re off to a great start, Royals. Let’s keep it going! 💙

Intramural Tennis is this evening from 6 to 8 PM at the tennis facility next to Straub Elementary. Sign up forms can be picked up in the office or at the tennis facility this evening. Contact Coach Boone if you have any questions!

The first day of school was full of lots of fun, smiles, and excitement! We played a little dodgeball against our students. Staff is still undefeated! We are looking forward to seeing everyone in the morning!!!

The First Day Is Almost Here! 💙🤍

MCMS Families,

We are so excited to welcome our students back tomorrow for the first day of school! Our teachers and staff have been hard at work preparing classrooms, planning lessons, and getting everything ready for a great start to the school year. We can't wait to see our students walk through the doors tomorrow morning!

A few important reminders as we prepare for the first day:

⏰ Morning Schedule

Doors open at 7:20 AM.
School begins at 7:50 AM.
Please allow a little extra time tomorrow morning as everyone settles into the new routine.

🚗 Morning Drop-Off
When dropping off your student, please pull all the way to the end of the sidewalk before stopping to let your student out. You do not need to stop directly in front of the main entrance.

If you are waiting in the drop-off line and there is open sidewalk beside your vehicle, your student may safely exit the car and walk along the sidewalk to the main entrance. This will help us keep the line moving and get everyone into the building safely and efficiently.

📚 Student Schedules
All students will receive a copy of their schedule tomorrow morning, so there is no need to worry if they aren't sure where to go when they arrive. Our staff will be throughout the building ready to help!

We know the first day brings lots of excitement; and maybe a few nerves, too! We are ready to welcome our students, help them get settled, and start the year on a positive note.

Thank you for trusting us with your children and for partnering with us. We are looking forward to a wonderful year at Mason County Middle School!

📚💙 OPEN HOUSE IS TOMORROW! 💙📚

We can’t wait to welcome our MCMS students and families back tomorrow, Tuesday, August 18th from 4:00–6:00 PM!

Come by to:
🏫 Meet your teachers
📋 Pick up and explore your schedule
🔐 Find your locker and get familiar with the building

💊 Important Medication Reminder: If your child will need medication at school this year, please remember:
• Medication must be hand-delivered to the school by a parent or legal guardian — students should not bring medication to school themselves.
• Over-the-counter medication must be in its original packaging, and prescriptions must have the pharmacy label.
• A signed medical provider’s order must be submitted at or before medication drop-off.

Our school day this year is 7:50 AM–3:00 PM, and all students will have a six-period day and their own assigned locker.

Tickets for the Back to School Bash will be on sale! Tickets are $5.00. The Back to School Bash will be Friday, August 28th after school until 5:30. Tickets will also be on sale, next week during school lunch!
