Mason County Career Magnet School Health Science Program, Mason County High School FCCLA, and Mason County High School HOSA are excited to share our first-ever DanceBlue Mini Marathon!

DanceBlue originated in 2006, inspired by a boy named Jarrett Mynear. Jarrett was a pediatric cancer patient at Kentucky Children’s Hospital.

💙💛 What is a DanceBlue Mini Marathon?

DanceBlue is a fundraising effort that spreads awareness of pediatric cancer through various events throughout the year. Our mini marathon is one of those events!

Today in Health Science class, students took part in a role-playing activity. Each group was asked to develop a script that showcased the appropriate and inappropriate behavior for essential qualities of healthcare professionals.

We’ve had a great start to the school year in Health Science class! Today, students worked in groups to develop a treatment plan for their patient (an egg). The plan of care included students designing and constructing a protective encasement for their patient’s illness/disease (represented by dropping them from a pre-determined height).
We had several that received a clean bill of health after being dropped !

The Health Science Program held their Pinning Ceremony on Wednesday evening, May 7th. We want to congratulate this exceptional group of students for their achievements.
