Maynard School District

09/08/2026

Dear Maynard Schools Parents and Families,

Due to a limited number of available bus drivers and after-school events, Bus #3 (Ms. West's route) and Bus #4 (Mr. Barber's route) will be combined for transportation this afternoon.

As a result, students who normally ride Bus #4 should expect their afternoon drop-off time to be delayed by approximately 30 to 45 minutes.

We understand transportation delays can inconvenience families, and we sincerely apologize for any disruption this temporary change may cause. We appreciate your patience, understanding, and flexibility as we work to ensure that all students are transported home safely.

Thank you for your continued support of Maynard Schools.

Sincerely,

Dr. Amy Jackson
Superintendent

Mayard Community Safety Update

Maynard Families and Community,
We were made aware of a social media post connected to a recent TikTok trend that has made its way to our community. The post shows an AI-generated image of a character appearing to be on Maynard School District campus walking on one of our campus streets along with a message directed toward Maynard.

We want our families to know that we are aware of the post. District administration and our School Resource Officer have been made aware of the situation, and we are taking it seriously. Although the image is AI-generated and appears to be part of a social media trend that has affected other schools, the safety of our students and staff is always our top priority.

We ask our students and community members not to share or continue spreading the post. Posts like
these can quickly create unnecessary concern and rumors, even when they begin as a social media trend.

If you see or hear something that you believe could be a real safety concern, please bring it directly to a school administrator or our School Resource Officer. We would much rather have something reported to us so we can investigate it than have it spread through social media.
Thank you to our students, families, staff, and community for helping us keep Maynard School District a safe place for our students.

Dr. Amy Jackson
Superintendent
