Over the years, we’ve discovered a few pillars that help our students thrive at GTECHS. Today, we’re shining a spotlight on Connection.

Why does connection lead to success? We believe it is because students are more likely to grow, take risks, and ask for help when they feel like they belong.

At GTECHS, connection means building relationships, supporting one another, and becoming a family. When students feel connected, they don’t have to navigate success, or even failure, alone. 🐾💙💛

At GTECHS, we do things a little differently! 💙💛

Because GTECHS is a program, our students don’t have traditional extracurriculars like those offered at a traditional high school. Our students can still participate in activities at their zoned schools, but here at GTECHS, we offer ECs every Friday!

Our ECs give students the opportunity to find their niche, explore their interests, and build connections with others who share their passions.

This year’s ECs include:

💼 Career Cats
📱 Content Creators
🌱 Green Thumbs
🤝 Helping Hands

Our seniors satisfied their sweet tooth with a sweet treat from Zachary's ice cream cart! Thank you to the EMCC cafeteria staff and Zachary's for serving the Class of 2027!

Our very first Packed Den is officially in the books! 🐾💙💛

We kicked things off with the Challenge Coin Ceremony. Each GTECHS student received a coin engraved with a reminder: “Effort Over Perfection.” The coin is a pledge to give their best effort every day.

As they crossed the stage, current students were congratulated by GTECHS alumni. What a full-circle moment that made the celebration even more special! 🎓✨

What a GREAT way to start the school year! The Den is packed, and we’re ready to make it a great one! 🐾
