Here's this week's newsletter! There are only two more weeks left in the regular school year, then we start our summer session. This year has flown by!
I will be having end of the year Parent-Teacher Conferences, but I'm not sure if I will try to squeeze them in before school gets out or wait until after. I know things get kind of busy with older kids and their school activities the last couple weeks of school so I'm leaning towards waiting. I will let you know when I decide for sure, though!

We released one of our froglets today! The other froglet got out of our tank last night so I felt like we needed to let this one go right away. We still have two more tadpoles waiting to transform.

PSA! My husband found this Copperhead in our yard yesterday. I showed the kids this picture today and we had an impromptu lesson on snake safety. It's that time of the year where they are prevalent! I have actually had a past student bitten by one while playing in the woods at her house.
We talked about how they are camouflage and blend in with with leaves and sticks on the ground. We also talked about how if you see a snake of any kind, you need to freeze, back away slowly and find an adult.

Hannah and Addy made snowcones in Art Center this morning! Addy said she made a small, medium, and large one! Loving those math terms and fine motor skills!

Sadly, we lost two of our tadpoles over night. :( I changed their water yesterday, and I'm not sure if it was that or that I don't have access to algae for them anymore so I got some leaves out of the pond by the school instead. I have a parent bringing in some algae tomorrow so hopefully the others will be ok!
