Today we said goodbye to our amazing JV coach, Marisa. She has been a pillar of excellence in our program and has had a hand in changing the game, on the court and off the court. Marisa has guided so many players to greatness and led our JV team to back to back successful seasons. Not to mention, Marisa’s support for the varsity team could never go unnoticed as she helped support the game, our players, and Coach Gogel throughout the last two years.

Marisa- Best of luck in your new adventure in Nashville. You will be deeply missed but your influence will stay with us for years to come. Once an Eagle, always an Eagle. 💙🦅

A message from Coach B: 💙

“Hi everyone,

This is Coach B.

I’ve been putting off writing this because it’s honestly so hard to say, & to be able to tell everyone all at once was a challenge. I wanted to let you all know that I’ll be stepping down from the team as I am moving to Nashville.

This team has been such a huge part of my life the past 2.5 years, and I truly can’t put into words how thankful I am for every memory, laugh, lesson, tournament, open gym, and moment we’ve shared together. The support, love, and encouragement from the players, parents, and friends over the years has meant more to me than you all probably realize.

What made this experience so special was never just volleyball; it was the people. Thank you for welcoming me, supporting me, and making this feel like a family. I’ll always carry these memories with me, and I’m so grateful for every single one of you.

My last day of open gyms will be May 26th, and I would absolutely love to see anyone and everyone who is able to come. It would mean so much to me to spend that time together before I leave.
Thank you all again for being such an important part of my life. Leaving is bittersweet, and I’m definitely going to miss everyone so much, but I’m excited for this next chapter in Nashville and will always be cheering you all on from afar. 🫶🏼

With summer break on our minds, plan on attending our open gyms this summer! This is open for any Graves County student who is entering the 9th-12th grades and who is interested in trying out for our Freshman, JV, or Varsity team! 🏐🦅

First open gym is May 23rd from 8-10am at the Eagles Nest! An updated KHSAA physical will be required to attend. Physicals can be done at GCHS for 15$ (cash only) starting May 21st! 💙🏐

Tryouts for Freshman and JV will start July 13th, Varsity tryouts will be on the 14th. Extra tryout dates will be added if needed!

As we finally make it into summer break, we are excited to announce that our Middle School Skills Camp is back this year! Clear your calendars for this amazing opportunity to work closely with GCHS volleyball players and coaches on essential skills from fundamentals of passing to perfecting your serve! 💙🏐

This camp is open to anyone and everyone, not just students of Graves County so please share this post! If you are coming from a different district or county, a waiver will have to be signed on the first day of camp. Sign ups will start at the beginning of July and will be posted on this page for everyone to access! 🦅🏐

MEETING LOCATION CHANGE: we will meet at 4:30PM in the GCHS Commons! The gym is currently being prepped for graduation. Can’t wait to see everyone there! 🏐🦅

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Parent meeting tomorrow at 4:30 at the Eagles Nest. Any current GCHS student (from current 8th graders to current 11th graders) who are interested in playing volleyball for the upcoming 2026-2027 season need to attend. At least 1 parent/guardian needs to be in attendance. THIS INCLUDES RETURNERS AND NEWCOMERS! Official workout schedule and information, open gym information and more will be given out!

IMPORTANT INFO FOR TONIGHT: Tonight is our last Little League games! We are so excited to see everyone for one last time this season! Games are on as scheduled (3rd-4th from 6-7pm and then 5th-7th from 7-8pm).

HOWEVER: the front parking lot CANNOT be used as the school will have Safety and Emergency Preparedness personnel preparing for tomorrow. Please park at the back parking lot and use the visitor doors to the gym to enter.
