A huge congratulations to Lucas Smith and Reese Smith for their outstanding performances at the West Kentucky Karate Tournament this past weekend!

🥋 Lucas Smith competed in Open Hand Kata, Weapons Kata, and Fighting — taking 1st place in all three events!

🥋 Reese Smith also competed in Open Hand Kata, Weapons Kata, and Fighting — earning 1st place in all three divisions as well!

Both Lucas and Reese advanced to the Grand Championship, where the judges declared a tie after the first round. In an intense second round of kata, Reese Smith came out on top, winning the Grand Championship and taking home the Warrior Cup! 🏆

We’re incredibly proud of both competitors for their hard work, discipline, and determination. 👊🏼

Shihan Karate will now begin preparing for the next tournament on November 2nd! Oss! 💥

Congratulations to Jeremiah Barker for his recent promotion to Assistant Instuctor! Jeremiah trains hard, dedicated, and always willing to help. His next rank to achieve is BlackBelt! Keep training hard! Oss! 🥋

Obituary for Patsy Joiner Bean at Byrn Funeral Home Patsy Joiner Bean, age 74, of Mayfield, KY passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025 at her residence. She was a retired hairdresser and currently was working as director of the Mayfield- Graves County Senior Citizens Center. Patsy was also a long time member at His House Ministries in Mayfield. She

🌟 Our students enjoyed a highly successful weekend at martial arts tournaments 🌟

Lucas and Reese Smith won top honors in fighting, empty-hand katas, and weapons at St. Louis, while Gabriel Barker achieved a clean sweep at the Diamond Nationals a few weeks prior and followed up with another first-place win in fighting in Florence, Kentucky this past weekend. Congrats to all!

Additionally, Conor Williams and Caleb Barker were promoted to yellow belts yesterday (11-18-24). Congratulations, gentlemen! 🥋🥊🥇
