Zion Lutheran School, Mayer, MN 952-657-2339 Zion Lutheran School is a ministry of Zion Lutheran Church in Mayer Minnesota rich in history. The congregation started Zion Lutheran School in 1912.

Our school serves families with students from preschool - 8th grade. From the early years of Zion Lutheran Church, Christian Education has been important to the members of the congregation. Since that time, three building projects have expanded the ministry of Zion Lutheran School. The original school build

ing was built in 1921. In 1977 a new classroom and gym addition was built next to the older building. In 1988 the two buildings were connected and the 1921 section was completely remodeled. In 2013 the addition of four new classrooms were added on to give the school more space to accommodate our growing student body.

Loving God, watch over our children as they begin their new school year. Bless them with joy at seeing friends, excitement at new experiences, and a love of learning. Guide and protect all who learn, replacing fear with joy, anxiety with peace, and tiredness with energy. Give wisdom, patience, and joy to teachers as they serve their students. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Everyone at Zion is beyond excited to share all the updates with our students and families that have taken place over the summer! This is a sneak peek into some of the updates that will be revealed for our Back-To-School Celebration tomorrow. It truly takes a village to accomplish! There have been an endless amount of hours, talents, and love poured into Zion and we can't wait to share it with you! From the inside to the outside there is not a place untouched and we have a countless number of people to thank: our School Board, our PTL, Zion's teachers & staff, a special thank you to Beth Schrupp, Joe Schrupp, Krista Goede, Tami Schulz, Sven Schulz, Ryan Kusske, Dave Wasser, Sharon Buckentin, Gail Schuft, and ALL the people who spent time painting, cleaning, and updating. God is good and our future at Zion looks bright!
