🎉 Celebrating Our District Technology Director, Justin Corbell! 🎉

Tonight at our Board Meeting, we had the opportunity to recognize Justin Corbell, our District Technology Director, for the incredible work he does for our students, staff, and district.

Justin has been instrumental in securing more than $200,000 in grants for our district, helping fund important projects focused on campus maintenance, security, and safety. His efforts have helped make our schools safer and better places for our students and staff. 👏

In addition to his work securing grant funding, Justin works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our students and staff have reliable, working technology. He keeps devices up and running, makes sure our software programs are functioning properly, troubleshoots problems, and takes care of countless other technology needs throughout the district.

So much of what Justin does happens behind the scenes, but his work has a tremendous impact on our schools every single day.

Justin is truly an asset to our district, and we are incredibly fortunate to have him on our team! 💙

Congratulations, Justin, on this well-deserved recognition, and thank you for everything you do to support our students, staff, schools, and community! 👏💻🎉

📢 Important Update for Mayer Elementary Families

Beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, Arizona's new Healthy Schools Act will bring changes to the foods that can be served, sold, or shared with students during the school day.

To help families better understand these new guidelines, we've attached an informational flyer outlining: 🍎 Foods that are allowed 🚫 Foods that no longer meet state standards 🎉 How these guidelines affect classroom celebrations, birthdays, rewards, and snacks

Our goal is to support a healthy learning environment while following Arizona state requirements. We encourage all families to review the flyer before sending treats or snacks to school.

Thank you for your partnership and understanding as we work together to keep our students healthy and ensure our school remains in compliance with state law. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the school office.

🎉📚 **Tomorrow is the Day!** 🍎✏️

The wait is finally over! Tomorrow is the **first day of school**, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome our students back to Mayer Elementary School!

Our teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare classrooms, decorate hallways, and get everything ready for an amazing school year. We can't wait to see the smiles, hear the laughter, and watch our Wildcats fill the halls once again.

Parents, thank you for partnering with us as we begin this new adventure together. We know tomorrow will be full of excitement, new friendships, and wonderful memories.

Get those backpacks packed, set those alarms, and we'll see everyone bright and early tomorrow morning!
