Route 208 Field Meeting with Senator Rolison – October 2, 2026 - On Friday, October 2, I met with Senator Rob Rolison in the Village of Maybrook to follow up on the concerns I raised in my August 27, 2026 letter regarding the deteriorating condition of Route 208 (Homestead Avenue), including the roadway, shoulders, and sidewalks. The Village Board was copied on that original correspondence, which also included photographs documenting many of the problem areas along the state route. The meeting was very positive and gave me the opportunity to personally take Senator Rolison on a tour of Route 208 and show him firsthand the conditions we are dealing with, particularly the deteriorated sidewalks and roadway areas. I appreciate the Senator taking the time to come to Maybrook, listen to our concerns, and see these issues in person. I am hopeful that through his assistance, we can work with New York State to address some of the most serious trouble spots and have necessary repairs made to improve safety and conditions for our residents and motorists.
