He Commanded the Called - Take Five

Welcome to session 23 of He Commanded The Called. Been pondering John 20 for the last two weeks and why I sense the Lord drawing me into this passage. Knew there was a spiritual truth to decipher that only the Holy Spirit could reveal. Finally got it and I have attempted to share what He has given to me. We serve a great and mighty God who loves us so much. The tomb is the evidence of His love, while also serving as the evidence of His greatness and His majestic nature. May we become more like Christ in our walk with Him, having those moments like John, when we exclaim in our spirit “I see and I believe.” May you be blessed by this Word, and as it serves that purpose, may you be a blessing to someone else who may need this very Word themselves.

Welcome to He Commanded The Called, part 2 of Mark 11, session 22. Two weeks ago, time was committed to the verses 22-24. I told you then there was more that would come, and here it is. Jesus spoke supernatural words to natural men about operating supernaturally in their lives. He used a fig tree as His demonstration, speaking to it one day and them seeing the evidence the next day. And then He tells them, and us since we are His disciples, that they can do likewise by walking in His Word. The good Lord is still seeking to do this for us today, to receive the Word of Truth from Him in order to operate in this capacity…to operate in a natural world in a supernatural capacity to fulfill what He’s called us to do through the supernatural Spirit of God. Just as His Word was designed for them to operate with this authority in their walk in their day, His plans are likewise for us today. May you be blessed with this Word in Mark 11, and may you step forward into your position in this life in this time, that His kingdom would come, that His will would be done, upon the earth as it is in heaven. Be blessed and be a blessing brothers and sisters.

It’s been a while, but welcome to He Commanded The Called session 21. Been focused on projects and got away from doing the videos…but here’s a good one for you from Mark 11 titled The Lesson of the Withered Fig Tree. This was enjoyable putting together as Jesus outlines how to deal with the mountains in our lives. The Word of God is straight forward but requires us to enter a mindset that is not our own. Scripture says flesh begets flesh and spirit begets spirit, so receive what the Lord has to say in how you approach your mountains in life. May this speak to you as it has to me, and in due time, may you have the opportunity to share this with someone else who is dealing with their mountain. Appreciate you and Lord bless you as you seek to be a blessing unto others.

Three weeks have passed by and it’s time for session 19 of He Commanded The Called. Needed to recover from bronchitis and just finished teaching summer school. The Holy Spirit dropped this message into my spirit two weeks ago and it has been such an encouragement in so many ways. For today’s session, the focus is upon the people involved who are mentioned specifically in John 2. I hear and see faith being activated at this wedding because of a need that Mary perceives her Son Jesus can provide for. She is resolute and bold in her stance. Jesus honors her request. Many people that day become witnesses as this “sign that Jesus did…manifests His glory and (causes) His disciples (to) believe in Him.” May this scripture find a lodging place in your heart so that the Holy Spirit can remind you of it when you have a need…and you call out to your Father in Heaven and trust the same Lord will advocate for you as you take a position of faith in Him. Just as Mary operated by faith and Jesus honored her request, may you do likewise and therefore have your own story to tell and believe in Him. Remember, be blessed while being a blessing unto others.

Know you had to wait for this session but it will be well worth it. Feast on Philippians 4 as Paul gives us insight on how we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. If there are assignments we’ve been given from the good Lord that aren’t being accomplished in our hands, most likely it’s due to us not being strengthened by Him. Join me in the Word and see yourself as Paul saw himself being transformed while being content in every need….

Having spent many months teaching on the Testing of Your Faith in Sunday school class, we wrapped up session 8 last week. Bruce Wilkinson shared how Philippians 4 serves as a primary scripture of a truth that Paul learned in his life through his walk with Christ. While memorizing the three verses 11-13 this week, it was immensely encouraging to hide this Word in my heart and have the Holy Spirit emphasize aspects as He opened the eyes of my understanding. It is my hope as you watch this session that somehow and someway these Words will encourage you and become life to you.

Good to be back with you as the school year finally came to an end today. Students are home, we celebrated a coworker retirement with a special meal and gifts, and it’s time to spend some time in the garden and on the lawn. And of course, as my mom and God friend Donna reminded me, it’s time for He Commanded The Called. May you be reminded through this message the favor of our God, in how He takes the imperfect, broken, blemished shells of the sea and uses them for His glory because we’re in His hands. Regardless of where you are in your walk and how far you’ve come, He knows His plans for you, and they are for your good. Be encouraged this Memorial Day weekend how others were willing to give their all for you, just as our Lord and Savior Jesus did 2000 years ago, and that we shall do likewise, spend our lives for His honor and His glory. What a joy to live and die for the One who is worthy.

Think it’s time for session 16 of He Commanded The Called. In preparing for this time with Matthew 28, the Lord reminded me of how He moved in a similar fashion on my behalf back in 2020. When Scripture tells us that just as the heavens are higher than the earth, that His ways and His thoughts are higher than ours, it’s a reminder that we cannot even begin to imagine how He can and will move that is abundantly above all that we can think or imagine. Though the women and the disciples most likely were messed up by the directive given to them from both the Angel and Christ Himself, their obedience to what wars made known put them in a position to see the manifestation of what only God could do and to receive the Great Commission as He authorized them, because that authority had been given to Himself in heaven and upon the earth. Thus, we are authorized to carry and share the gospel to all nations and all peoples because Jesus has that authority now and forever more. Go forth and serve brothers and sisters in Christ. You have been authorized by the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
