Pat wasn’t in our class but I think we all knew him.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Martin Patrick Lynch “Pat”, a beloved father, brother, and friend, who left us peacefully at UW Hospital in Madison on 7/12/25.

Pat had an enduring love for the simple pleasures of life: hunting, fishing, and golfing, most notably at Castle Rock Golf Course. Whether it was the tranquility of a morning spent fishing for walleye on Castle Rock or the thrill of a hunting expedition, Pat found joy in the natural wonders surrounding him. Known for his adventurous spirit, Pat often recounted his unforgettable trip to Alaska with a fond twinkle in his eye.

Born to the late Bud and Jean, Pat carried forward their legacy of kindness and integrity. Though they preceded him in death, their values lived on in Pat, guiding his path and influencing those lucky enough to know him.

Pat's family meant the world to him. He was a devoted father to Mike (Ashley), and Charlie (Kennedy). As well as a proud grandfather to Olive, Tyler, Kylie, and Carter, who will always carry their cherished memories of him. Pat is also precede in death by his sister Donna and survived by his sisters, Michelle, Julie, and Kelly, who will miss his humor, warmth, and camaraderie.

As we say goodbye to Pat, we celebrate a life filled with adventures and shared stories. His laughter, love, and wisdom have left a lasting imprint on all who were fortunate enough to know him. While he may no longer walk among us, his spirit remains alive in every cast of a fishing line, every swing on the golf course, and every sunset that paints the skies of his beloved Midwest.

A celebration of Pat’s life will be held on 8/16/25 at the Mauston Legion hall (1055 E State St, Mauston, WI 53948) from 1-4 pm where we’ll gather to honor his memory and share the stories that made him who he was. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Pat's favorite wildlife conservation club (Outdoors Forever) helping sustain the wild places he loved so dearly.

This is Sandy Turner. At this point there are only two folks who are administrators for this page and I would like to see more. If something happens to one of us, the page may end up going away. Anyone from the class who wouldn't mind, please let me know. You don't have to do anything if you don't want to, but it will help save the page :)
