We are pretty lucky and got to have two more visitors today to end our Community Helpers theme!

First, Ms. Carissa from Hatch Public Library came to visit all our classrooms, teach the kids what librarians do, read a story, and do some music and movement activities!

Then, Deputy Meyer and her therapy dog, Coconut, came to the Explorers class to teach about police officers and how they keep our community safe! Coconut even took over the teacher's chair for a bit 😅 (scroll through the pics to see!)

We want to give a special thank you to the libraries and librarians in our community for sharing the love of books and community programs, and to our police force who keep us safe and protected.

And one last THANK YOU to everyone who contributes to helping our community! We love our community, and hope our families are inspired seeing everyone who makes our area a wonderful place for their kids to grow up. 🫶

We had not one, but two special guests today!

First, Pastor Jordan visited us to share a Bible story! 📖 We learned that pastors help our community by teaching others to trust in God, visiting the sick and lonely, and providing church for people to worship.

Then, Ms. Kaitlyn came back to visit us as a firefighter! 👩‍🚒The kids got to see and try out the heavy firefighter garb, and learned about fire engines and safety.

Thank you to all the pastors and churches in our community for providing places of worship, and thank you to all the firefighters and first responders for keeping our community safe! 🫶

Thank you to Ms. Kaitlyn for coming to teach us about flowers and florists! 🌷

We read "The Hidden Rainbow" and learned that flowers are a very important part of the pollination cycle. We looked at different flowers, and of course smelled each one!

Thank you to all the small business owners in our area! Whether it be a flower shop, ice cream shop, coffee trailer, or many others, you make a positive impact in the community! 🫶

Thank you to Dr. Plamann and Nurse Alicia for visiting us today! 👨‍⚕️🩺

The Explorers and Saplings class learned that doctors can help us when we are healthy, sick, or hurt. They learned the best ways to be healthy are to eat well, sleep, and exercise. And they got to try out some doctor tools!

THANK YOU to all the healthcare professionals in our community! Doctors, nurses, therapists, EMTS, dentists, and so many more people help keep us healthy so we can be our best! 🫶

Thanks to Mr. Jamie for visiting our Explorers class today to teach the kids about carpenters! 🔨👷

They learned that a square tool is actually a triangle (🤯), that string is what helps builders make a straight line, and that carpenters always keep snacks in their tool belt 😉

Thank you to all our builder community helpers that make our area a wonderful place to live!

Thank you to Bobbi from Castle Rock Realty for visiting our Explorers class today!

We learned that realtors help our community by finding homes for families and growing neighborhoods 🏠🔑🤎 We read the story "If I Built a House" and talked about our dream houses!

Thank you to all realtors who help our community thrive! 🫶

September begins our Community Helper theme! 👨‍🍳👷👩‍🚒👮‍♂️

We take a month each year to teach the kids of Bright Beginnings about the people that make our wonderful community what it is. Thank you to all the area "community helpers" - your work doesn't go unnoticed! 🫶
